The Department of Albanian Language, within the framework of the International Mother Language Day, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00, held the Scientific (student) Conference "Linguistic Conflicts", which was organized in the Conference Hall near the Library of "Luigj Gurakuqi" University, under the care of Prof. Assoc. Orjeta Baja, head of the department of Albanian Language, and Dr. Merita Hysa, lecturer at this Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
In the opening speech of the Conference, the lecturer Orjeta Baja focused on the importance of International Mother Language Day and the preservation of our linguistic identity, appreciating language as the most essential element of a nation's identity.
Prof. Dr. Suzana Golemi, Rector of the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", delivered a greeting speech in the framework of this world day, where she emphasized the preservation and protection of the Albanian language.
The lecturer Merita Hysa revealed a reflection on the generations in the years until today, also greeting the 60-year scientific contribution to the study of the Albanian language of Prof. Dr. Tomor Osmani, former member of this department at the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi", who was present at this activity, too.
In this conference, students of the Albanian Language, graduated in linguistics, at the Bachelor, Professional Master and Scientific Master levels, during the academic years 2021 and 2022, led by the lecturers of the Department of Linguistics, spoke about the following topics:
1. Britni Gera (Ba.), Traditë dhe risi në leksikun e romanit "15 ditë prilli" të Anisa Markarianit; 2. Klevisa Bardeli (Ba), Disa qasje të paskajores gege sot; 3. Laura Kasteri (Ba.), Fjalësi në prozat e E. Koliqit (Hija e maleve / Tregtar flamujsh); 4. Ma. Klodiana Marticanaj (MP), Diversiteti tekstor përmes teksteve të gjuhës shqipe në AML; 5. Ma. Desara Kerjota (MP), Këndvështrime metodologjike në mësimdhënien e Gjuhës shqipe online; 6. Ma. Kamila Fjerza (MP), Studim mbi evoluimin e koncepteve gramatikore në periudha të ndryshme të gjuhësisë shqiptare; 7. Ma. Neriman Velija (MP), Gjuha dhe kultura. Qasje të saj në AML; 8. Ma. Arjola Lesha (MSH), Pasuria leksikore e Kanunit, një thesar gjuhësor e etnolinguistik; 9. Ma. Marsida Maraska (MSH), Ravijëzim i shtresës së huazuar të leksikut të Budit e të Bogdanit (Mbështetur në fjalësin e vjelë nga Kolë Ashta); 10. Ma. Eneida Malevija (MSH), Anglicizmat në gjuhën shqipe, sipas “Fjalor fjalësh të huaja në gjuhën shqipe” by Mikel Ndreca.
The conference was accompanied by artistic performances of the following students: Jozef Bashota (in violin performance), Eda Bajri (in poetic performance), Rovena Gjeçaj (in poetic performance), Ardijana Ndreca and Jozef Uldedaj.
The activity was concluded with the photomontage "Among graduation emotions of young linguists", which brought back special emotions to former students, students, and teachers.
